Why "Starbursts"

I'm a "twentysomething." Simultaneously a kid and an adult, a young adventurer with a wild case of wanderlust, sometimes I feel stuck between two worlds, like a wandering star across the night sky.

In Philippians chapter two, Paul, being the slick writer that he was, paints a stunning word picture that I adore.

He writes…

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe.” (Philippians 2:14-15)

Alas, Paul compares Christ followers to one of the most remarkable pieces of creation: the stars. As the stars in the sky illuminate the night, I, as a twentysomething Christ follower, strive to shine the love of God into this dark world and find my place in the universe. Therefore, this blog contains “bursts” of life from one of the “stars” Paul references in the verse.

I write about life, growing up, and whatever else pops into my scattered mind as I navigate the horizon between kidhood and grown-up life.
